Death happens. When it does, Gravely is here.

Text us for guidance
  1. My mom passed this morning. I don't know where to start.
  2. I'm so sorry. We'll take it one step at a time.
  3. For today, just three things: 1. Choose a funeral home 2. Tell close family 3. Find her ID and any paperwork
  4. I’ll look up funeral homes near you and send you a few to consider.
  5. Thank you, that actually helps.

Whether planning a funeral or planning ahead yourself, we’re here to help you with the big decisions.

We’ve been there too.

“When I lost my father, I found myself overwhelmed not just by grief, but by the endless logistics that no one prepares you for. Phone calls to make, documents to find, decisions that felt impossible to face alone.

That’s why I built Gravely: to be the guide I wish I’d had. A companion through the practical steps, so you can focus on what matters most, honoring your loved one and supporting each other.”

“My mom passed away when I was eight. I still remember how overwhelmed my dad was: planning a funeral, sorting through finances and paperwork, and caring for four young children, all at once.

That’s why I joined Gravely. I want to help build tools that make the tasks that come with losing a loved one easier, so families can spend less time on logistics and more time on healing.”

Things no one tells you when someone dies

  1. You don’t have to make every decision today
  2. You can ask someone to explain things again, or write them down
  3. It’s ok to laugh at the funeral
  4. When someone offers to help, you can give them a job... groceries count, and so does making a phone call

This is why we built Gravely
